Automated HVAC Line

Automated HVAC Line
DESCRIPTION
In this line, an operator loads a part manually at the entrance, which is guarded with safety curtains. The 6-Axis robot picks up the part and drops it into one of two nests on a 3-axis cartesian grease robot. The other greased part is picked up and moved to a knob press station at the entrance of the rotary table. The robot picks up two knobs that are located on trays being fed to the line on a tray feeder. Using a gauge, it aligns the knobs and then places them on the product, where two linear rotary cylinders complete the assembly. The robot removes any reject parts from the rotary table, and then places the new assembled part in its place. Product barcode is scanned in for traceability purposes. Subsequent sections test electrical and mechanical properties of product.
